Actually, the oldest founded fraternity west of the Mississippi River is Mu Theta Nu at Culver-Stockton College in 1868.

Wow, just went through the Kappa site and a rush of fantastic memories. I see Craig responded. Craig played a very important role in bringing Kappa back to Simpson in 1980. I was a Kappa from 1980-84, in the first pledge group after Kappa's rebirth. So glad to see you guys keeping Kappa alive. I will work on the 80's crew to get the alums back involved. The pictures on the website cracked me up. Damn we looked good back then! LOLnast Thanks for the website guys.

I have in my possession a receipt from KAPPA THETA PSI, dated 1936, for the amount of $31.30, issued to Brother Addison Harvey (not yet my father). It is signed by Dick Williams, Treasurer. Just thought you might find this interesting.

I was a 1969 graduate of Simpson and a DU. In the fall of 1965, the fraternity house was full, we had over 50 brothers living in the house and a pledge class of some 19-20 men. We learned about Kappa history from those who pledged as Kappa's and later became part of Delta Upsilon. A lot of us who graduated between 1969 and 1973 are seemingly "lost in the shuffle". Has there been any thought of welcoming us to Kappa Theta Psi so that we can feel we have a home to return to at homecoming and other times/. Being part of the house from 1965-1969, we knew many brothers who were upper classmen and Kappa's.

I want to congratulate the fraternity on your excellent website. Your ongoing development of the alumni list would help us old timers keep track of each other. I also enjoyed reading the bio's of current members. It's great to see your campus activism. Thanks. Keith B. Dunbar, Kirkland, Washington

I checked the site once again and was glad to see some updates have been made now that the school year is in full swing. As an old timer, I would like to figure out if in some way we could get more input and activity from some of the old timers such as myself. For example, from the Simpson Booklet sent out recently, I learned of the death of one of our brothers from my ear. Unfortunately, I am sure this is not the only death. Just some idea of the where abouts of some former members would also be helpful. I think some would be more inclined to respond to the KOY rather that to the school itself. If anyone has any thoughts on this and how we could become more closely linked, please share it.

Actually the current members are working to get in contact with all of our long lost alumni. We are about to hold a phone-a-thon to get in contact with alumni and update our information. Also we are in the process of making a dedicated alumni position to maintain proper contact.

I was really surprised when I got a copy of "The Diamond". I thought the contect was excellent and am very excited to see that you are working so hard in making Kappa a great fraternity once again. Keep up the good work and you'll find that there is plenty of support that will come your way.

Dear Kappa brothers,

Neat website. It's sad that the numbers have dwindled to only 14. I have SO many great memories of the fraternity and the house. Our house always did well during the Homecoming week at Yell Like Hell, skits, etc. I look forward to the updates. If any of you are ever in the desert Southwest (El Paso, TX) let me know.
